How to Recognize and Report Adult Abuse
All Ohioans have a responsibility to report suspected elder abuse. But, to do so with confidence, one must be able to recognize the possible signs of abuse and know who to call and what to report. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has published a series of guidebooks entitled, Understanding Elder Abuse, with just that information. Each of the 4 guidebooks is tailored to a specific audience:
- Understanding Elder Abuse-A Guide for Ohioans (JFS 08098 rev. 8-2018)
- Understanding Elder Abuse-A Guide for Financial Services Professionals (JFS 08095 rev. 8-2018)
- Understanding Elder Abuse-A Guide for Medical Professionals (JFS 08097 rev. 7-2018)
- Understanding Elder Abuse-A Guide for Legal and Law Enforcement Professionals (JFS 08096 rev. 8-2018)
